Shop with a child
REGISTRATION FOR DECEMBER 5TH 2012 WILL BEGIN IN OCTOBER….STAY TUNED….
Santa’s will be looking for a few good elves. Volunteers are needed to take the children shopping and help them fill their Christmas wish lists.
Our shoppers have four goals:
- Help the child purchase needed clothing and other items on their list.
- Provide a positive and enjoyable experience for the child.
- Depending on the budget and need, the shoppers will help the child pick out a gift for siblings or parents.
- Each shopper tries to find at least one special toy for the child. Many times the budget has already been reached and the shoppers pay for this item out of their own pocket.
When shopping is done, many of our volunteers become Christmas Elves, if the child’s total bill exceeds the allocated gift, the shopping volunteer pays and donates the difference.
Please join us and volunteer today. These are the shopping times that we need volunteers for. The number of positions vary upon the arrival time of the schools. Confirmations and more information will be emailed to those that have registered on the week of November 28th, 2011.
